Okay - only in the preliminary part because I just found this problem out tonight just before I wrapped up working on the car. The question is going to sound very generic because I only have a generic idea of what is going on...
...what would be a potential cause keeping the tach in a 94 LT1 to not go about (roughly) 2,700 RPM? Engine revs fine. Alternator is crap and in the process of being replaced. Battery is good. Opti is good.
Where does the tach get its signal from?
