Reason: harmonic balanacer
Pete919 posted the thread I used. It is awesome. I initially rebelled against beating the harmonic balancer off with a mallet and dowel rod, but finally succumbed to brute force. Worked a treat!
after going through 2 cases of bud, bloody knuckles i gave up on the 2 jaw pulley puller. bought a 12'' pointed bar at harbor freight. from under the car with my sister bumping the key to turn the crank 10 Min's it came right off.. also soaking it a while with Pb blaster will help brake the rust loose too. hope this also helps..
LT1/*C4 was a huge help with me getting it right , follow his post and u wont go wrong...

This is how I pulled the dampener. I disconnected the steering line, pulled it up out of the way with a small rope and used a 2 arm puller. I put a 1/4" drive socket on the hub bolt to mate up with the puller bolt. I used a tie wrap to keep pressure on the puller arms against the dampener.
