Default grease for polyurathane bushings

I am installing polyurathane bushings and the kit came with, what I think is, too little lube... What kind of lube do I use because the stuff that came with looks almost like vasaline.

I'm just starting my suspension rebuild. I ordered the bushing grease from Mid America. From what I've heard, you can also use marine grease.

Energy suspension formula no. 5 is what you want. That's what Pfadt supplies with urethane products. Pretty much any performance shop should be able to order it for you. It's extremely sticky (doesn't ooze out of the joint as fast as other options) and does well at preventing water ingress.

I used Moly Grease on mine. Auto parts stores sell them in tiny tubs. Works on any area exposed to the elements and requires lots of staying power.

Putting a lot on won't hurt, just ensures it gets everywhere. Wipe the excess away and you are good to go. When you torque the bolts down, that may squeeze some additional out. Can't hurt to put it on the face of the bushings so there are no squeaks from that metal to urethane contact. Some guys drill holes in their dog bones and sway bar brackets, install a zerk fitting and routinely lube the suspension pieces with a grease gun

This ought to do the trick. Slather it on liberally...and plan to re-grease on an annual basis if you want to avoid the dreaded squeaks. Polyurethane bushings do not usually come without their headaches (though I feel the performance benefits make dealing with them worthwhile). Note that many manufacturers of polyurethane bushings indicate that you should avoid using petroleum based lubricants.

Yeah can't hurt to use the manufacturers recommended lubricant on it. My urethanes have been coated in moly grease for over a decade. Popped them out about a year ago and they feel just as new as they did the day I coated them and pressed them in.

You have enough to do the job.

Believe it, or not.

Marine grease. It will stay in there nicely and you won't end with squeaking bushings. 12+ years with mine and not a squeak.
