Default Dana 36/44 Swap

Swapping the Dana 36 for a 44 this weekend and when I went to put the transverse spring on one of the mounting brackets broke before the bolts were even snug. Are these still available or do I need to make one?
I’m thinking I could use a piece of 1/8” or so bar steel drill a couple holes in it and put it under the broken mount. Would this work?

GM 14048993 and still available it's in a warehouse that is normally 3-5 days I would think to a mid-west dealer.

Thanks, it's #19 in the illustration. I should probably replace them both being the one broke so easily.

From the dealer if you've a "relationship" they should be a couple $$'s less and there shouldn't be shipping BUT yes they're there to be had.

Thanks all, fortunately I have a Corvette shop twenty miles north of me that had one and it only cost me $10 and I was able to pick it up today.
Sorry to hear do to health reasons he won’t be in business much longer and has no one to keep it going.
