well on that page there is no listing for code 12.

Code 43 is a knock sensor, how do I know if this is just a false reading or a bad knock sensor?

code 12 means diagnostic mode is working..it will flash first, then the error codes, for the knock sensor, check the harness at the sensor and sensor itself, if it was flashing maybe the wire is loose

Scott, your 92 has 2 knock sensors located on either side of the block just above the sides of the oil pan. I would check the connections first.

You need a DVM to check the voltage to the knock sensors. If there is nothing obvious with the connections, then you'll have to check the vlts. / ground on the circuit. Send me an email and i'll give you the procedure.
