Trans fluid change on 96 vert?
Hi, started to change the trans fluid in my 96 lt1 convertible. Got the x brace off, then started to remove trans pan bolts, one is not accesible, it is blocked by the exhaust clamp, took bolt out of clamp but clamp is rivited to pipe. Question is can I grind off rivit and not have a hole in my exhaust? Thanks Doug

I seem to recall a similar problem when I pulled my pan a few years ago. IIRC, I just used a cut-off wheel to trim that part of the clamp that was in the way. It was still a tight fit though.
