On my 94 when it gets up to temp. the car idles bad, stalls and sets dtc 0036. The ICM been changed, but didn't help. After it cools off, it starts up and code will clear and runs great until it warms up, then stalls again and sets code 0036. What should I be looking at next? The PCM?
On the 94 Lt1 DTC 0036 is Ignition faulty high resolution signal, which is usually a bad ICM. In this case it's been changed.
My bad...you had a DTC36, not a 0036. I was thinking OBD2...
Try checking the wiring harness from the Opti to the plug on the side of the intake manifold, making sure the connector pins are clean...also check that the connectors are fully seated in the Opti and the wiring harness. This harness has been known to cause some problems, that's why they're still available.

I cleared all the DTCs and took it for a ride. It started up fine but was still cold. When it started to warm up and excellerating it had extreme spark knock and no power. After about 4 miles and driving slowly it stalled. Just before it stalled the RPMs raised up and the tach went to 1500 rpm. With the scan tool still hooked up I read the codes 0016 Dist Low Resolution Paulse Circuit -0036 Dist High Resolution Paulse Circuit - 0041 Ignition Control Open Circuit - and 0051 PCM Prom Error. It wouldn't start up right away. But after about a couple minutes it did start but ran rough and knocked when I reved up the engine and had no power. Any thoughts?
