came out of work today, turned the key nothing lights everything was working but wouldn't turn over. when i was unlocking the door seemed like wasn't right to me. played with the key a bit, held my temper after one of those work days.
opened up the window and set the alarm off thinking it maybe the vats thing i have heard about. still nothing went back inside came back 5 mins later and varooooooooooom she started. does this sound like a vats problem..
Clean the pellet on the ignition key or use another key. The pellet wears with time and you can get a no-start.
FWIW, the '90-'96 cars have VATS integrated into the CCM vs the earlier cars that had a separate module. As such, when it's a suspected VATS issue such as what you may have experienced, it's typically the key or the ignition switch cylinder in the steering column.
