Default 1992 to 1995 optispark harness

I have a 1992 Corvette I recently installed an 1995 Lt1 in and was wondering how to address the issues with the optispark harnesses; I have the extention harness for the 1995, was wondering can I just cut off the ends and splice the wires? Or is it more that must be done? Also where do I run the vacumm line/vent?

Vent line source runs from the air intake bellows to the opti. and the vacuum line runs to the intake.

I have a 92 and ran into this same problem with a 93 optispark.

You can remove the car side of the plug by sticking a pin in and releasing each clip. They then just slide into the new connector and snap into position. The metallic shield wire can be removed or folded back and secured.
