Maybe if the floor they are on isn't level, but I think you'd be hard pressed to know. I can't see where it's any different than sitting on the tires for 6 years except on the jack stands the tires wouldn't get flat spots.
While not a C-4, I had my 76 C-3 on stands for several years in the garage and covered. Upon removal of the cover after a few years, the rear bumper cover had split in one area from top to bottom. Gotta believe it had something to do with the car being on stands.

My '86 has spent the at least eight months on stands with no noticeable effects. Suspension fully extends and it does take a mile or two to get back at normal ride height.
Wow !! So Thank You all for the responses. The floor is level as far as I know. Is a rv pad. I have not noticed any cracking anyplace but was just curious how having those jack stands in one place for so much time and the pressure points being there all else is suspended in air would make me concerned. I will watch for the suspension to adjust and see how long it will take. I appreciate all of the input and ideas here. Thank You all very much.

I don't think I've ever heard of polyurethane dry rotting. Are u sure?
I did a 74 conv. a while back . the rear cover became hard & brittle . You could break it apart like stale bread . It happens a lot around here . Id expect its the UV rays that do it .
I replaced it with a flexable glass one .Painted the car

The bumpers on my 75 fell apart. Nothing to with being up on jackstands though.
If the wheels are hanging the shock pistons might get crusty/rusty. Then, when the dirt and rust are forced back into the shock, it will begin to leak. Otherwise I think it would be fine.
