Alright I'm new to this and I'm looking for some help. My dad and I just bought a 1986 corvette. Everything works and it runs fine. There's just one issue. The digital tachometer lights up, but does not read the RPM count. So it simply reads 0 RPM's all the time. Does anyone know what would fix this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
The tach gets it's info from the distributor (tan wire on the driver's side of the distributor cap). The pulses go through an electronic filter that is bolted to the top bell housing bolt on the driver's side. The tach filter is pretty basic and not likely to fail. Check the tan wire and the connector at the distributor.
