Looking At My First Corvette
Hi guys new to the forum and am looking at buying a used C4 automatic transmission convertible top with 101000 miles on it the body needs a little of a touch up but recent stuff that has been done to it was 8 new fuel injectors new dual exhaust new catalytic converter new suspension and a recent tune and has new leather seats all the stuff listed was done in the last 6 years the guy is asking 10000 what should i pay for the car and what questions should i ask him about the vette oh and transmission was rebuilt 5 years ago

1990 they're is a little paint scuff on right front door and the back window on the convertible in my opinion needs to be replaced the interior is in perfect condition no marks tips years of any sort no smells and carpet is very clean in my eyes I believe that the there is some body touch ups that need to be done to become pristine

I strongly advise you to take a deep breath and peruse the ads here and on Craigslist before you buy. That price is pretty high for a 90 with high miles. I have seen very nice examples for much less. In my area there is a 86 convertible (same L98 engine) with 47k. The seller has been sorting on it at $7500 for months and it is very very clean. The market is weak for these at present. A great time to get in- but take your time and make a good decision.
