colant leaking along valve cover
Hi there I have been getting a ton of advice on fixing up my corvette here. It is running really good needs some ujoints ect. What has happened is after I changed my thermostat to a 180 (with a 1/8th hole), found a leak. I kew I was loosing a bit of anti freeze so I changed the small hose in the front of the intake. Upon checking for leaks I turned it off and saw the anti freeze come from behind the alternator, along the valve cover and pool behind the thermostat . Any ideas how this could happen?

If it's coming from ~1" behind the T-stat along the valve cover try re-torquing the intake base bolts on that side. There is a coolant passage between intake base & heads in that region.
