Default Caliper sticking

I have a 1989 c4 coupe. The left front caliper won't release (is sticking) when I release the break pedal ( I discovered this problem when I noticed the wheel was hot). I replaced the caliper with a new one but it didn't solve the problem. Does anyone have any idea what is causing the problem?

Thanks,
Cam

Sounds like the rubber line from the hard line at the chassis to the caliper has failed internally and is blocking flow back to the master.

I installed a new caliper and a new rubber hose (line) and my caliper is still not releasing (still sticking). What else could it be?
Thanks

When you bled the lines, did brake fluid flow out easily?...

If not, contamination in the lines is blocking the fluid flow somewhere.

Also, check that the new caliper functions properly by disconnecting the brake hose and blowing compressed air into it.

If the lines are going bad you will be getting rubber bits and parts in the system. Change the fluid. Was it a new caliper or rebuilt? Make sure you didnt kink/twist the new line.

Had the same problem and it was the ABS pump, ended up tearing it out.
