I consider myself a well-educated person, but can someone help me with this Shipping/Handling Policy @ GMPartsDirect.com?
Shipping Methods
In the 48 contiguous states of the USA the minimum handling and shipping charge is just $7.95 for the first part on the order and a discount off minimum handling and shipping fee from each additional item not to go below 20% of the cost of the item order, whichever is greater (unless specified on larger sized items).

Yeah, their prices are "reasonable", but they seem to be making their profit on shipping.

GMPartsDirect charges S&H on each & every part, regardless of whether it can be sent with another piece. Order 8 small parts & one big one and still pay 9 shipping charges...

Before I discovered Jeff Kopp (thanks to the forum), I had tried to figure out how much the Grand Sport brake upgrade was going to cost me from GM Parts Direct. There are a lot of little pieces in that upgrade: bolts, washers, clips, etc... If they had charged me shipping on each one like they said they would, it would have cost me about a bazillion dollars.
I ordered everything I needed from Jeff Kopp during a group purchase and saved a ton.

GM parts Direct is just another dealer who offers super low pricing and adds the difference to the shipping and handling price.
It's not bait and switch, it's counting on you not paying attention.
Jeff is the real deal in my experience. If Jeff can't get the part (which means it's way out of production) try TLD Corvette. If TLD can't get it then you are scrounging and a bone yard like Contemporary Corvette is a good try.
Great thing about Jeff is he is a C4 nut and knows a lot of things about our cars. This knowledge is invaluable and very rare.
