I have a 65 C10 truck that I have installed a 94 Corvette LT1 with a stand alone harness and programmed PCM. When I got the engine I replaced most sensors including MAF and replaced the distributor. I am having some running issues and have tried to use my scan tool but no luck. I'm using an OTC 4000E and now it shows I need a special cable#3305-86.
Anybody have a lead on one of these cables or have another idea of what to use for a scan tool?

94 and 95 Corvettes are unique in that the PCM's use the first generation OBDI diagnostic protocol, the scan tool connector however is visually identical to 96 and later OBDII vehicles. I am not familiar with the OTC 4000E but do know many scan tools cannot read the older OBDI data without specific adapters and software. If your harness includes a malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) you can retrieve codes using the paper clip method, see the link below. Other options would be to acquire the correct adapter and software if it is available for your existing tool, or locate a Tech1 or other OBDI compatible scan tool. http://www.digitalcorvettes.com/foru...56&postcount=9
