Had issue few months ago, change dumb, now it has returned.
Right turn indicator lights, indicating problem on right side. If I use flashers all flash, but from right amber turn signal is dim compared to left. Same result if I turn on right signal when lights are off, but if I turn signal on when light switch is at one click on, then the front right lights don't come on at all!
Seems since flashers work the flasher relay is ok, right?
Is the front right amber turn signal dual filament, since dim, should I change the bulb first and hope it fixes it?
Think i Found problem. I pulled turn bulb and there is a side spring like contact in the socket, it was broken off. I guess it would make contact sometimes and make the intermittent problem. Now, where to get this socket? Can the white plastic piece be removed from black plastic surround, or do I have to cut the wires and splice in a new complete socket?
Changed socket and it worked for a while, then problem returned. I checked and changed bulb, but still does not blink. Light comes on but doesn't blink except when flashers are on, left turn sign still works. Any ideas?
I'd start going thru each socket to see which is corroded and dirty. If that does not help then I'd head toward the grounds,. and clean and reattach. Have you done any testing with a DVM to see if its low voltage or NO voltage? That will also tell you if its a short or open circuit.
Right yellow light seems even brighter than the left when parking lights are on. Blinks when flashers are on and parking lights off, but not when parking lights are on.
I pulled the bulb and messed w it. I turned it and put it back in w side contacts reversed, and It blinks. I wouldnt think it would matter. It seems the bulb fits in either way, but not well either way. I got it in so it stays...for now, but doesn't turn much and lock in, like most do. I am afraid I will break it, or detach from base if I push and turn any harder. I hate these bulbs and sockets, should fit better and be easier.
