randi, you should have gotten two emails with pics. no special tool is needed, had the panel off half dozen times. only need to watch out for the hidden screws behind the interior door light lens and you have to pull the sliding lock mechanism off the slide with a flat screwdriver with masking tape on the flat ends to keep from scratching the plastic. the light lens is pryed out carefully as there are snap clips made in the plastic that can be broken easily. i think there is two screws hidden, one under the door handle and one behind the lens. if you need the door panel pic I can fax to you in the a.m.
here is what the book has :
remove or disconnect following
1 lower window
2 remove inside handle benzel (one screw)
3 remove trim panel lower fastners. those plastic black round things
4 reposition trim panel, pull out at bottom and lift up out of the window slot
5 remove power window switch and connector
6 remove trim panel.
I remember a screw behind the lens but not listed in the manual. there may be a screw up front by the rubber near the hinges on the door panel.
once you got the screws out and wires unhooked it comes right off. 20 min job. 30 min going back on due to getting all stuff back in. till later.
Got the 2 emails with pics which printed out perfectly. Hope I don't drive you guys crazy but as I told you in my email this is my first car related DIY project. Just a little nervous going into it.
Thanks everyone for replying. Hopefully I won't be sending up smoke signals once I pull that panel off.
