There are a few c4 guys on this forum that have done a solid axle or even a "back half" conversation (truly for drag racing). Not cheap, but cool. How competitive are they? I couldn't tell you.
383vett- you're literally one of two guys that came to mind. I'm not familiar with class structures or rules, but I love the car. Back when I lived in Nor-Cal, I remember seeing you trailering that beast. What does she run?

Still trailering. Best of 10.36@130. Hot enough in Az?
Damn Willie.... I think you have more trophies than me. .... I hate coming in 2nd. But, I don't see a Wally !!!
Here is some of mine, not all, but I only have 5 or 6 others not shown. As fun as it is to show them off, it was even funner winning them. I recommend to all Corvette Owners.... pull your toys out of your garage and go compete !! You'll be hooked on competing in 3 seconds flat.

I'll never catch you as long as I'm in Texas.... not running Points here. Too freakn hot !! I love racing as much as anybody. About the only thing that can sap my joy when I'm at the racetrack is dying from a heat stroke, not sure why, but my lights tend to suffer after I passout..... and that's a real possibility down here. The closest NHRA track to me runs 80% of points days in June, July, August !!

Foget bout it.....
Beach...you need an RV with A/C.
Can't live without it down here. Make a run, get back to the RV, strip out of the suit and chill (literally).

Makes the summer MUCH more enjoyable for racing.
New tow rig in your future...
I hear you.... when I lived in California, I had friends with RV's I could hop in anytime I wanted. I do not know many here well enough for that. But, I'm new here to the area, so can't really do that with anybody.

Maybe someday I'll splurge on one.....
I've also seen quite a few put roof A/C's on their enclosed trailers...it is an alternative to spending the cash on an RV.
