Air Conditioning question. CF Rocks!
88 coupe. My air conditioner blows cold, however when I have it on auto and set to 60 it will only blow on high part of the time. it will then turn itself down even though the car has not cooled yet, then it will go on high again. It does this back and forth all the time. When I have it set on manaul and on 10 it still does not blow on high. Please help me diagnose this problem. I live in Nevada and it's HOT all the time.

Mine does the same thing. It goes from recirc mode to outside air mode. Its still on high but its sounds like its blowing harder when its sucking inside air. Its my opinion that the AC on Early C4's just stink.

Could be a ambient temp sensor located in the car. Run a self diagnose via holding down the rear defroster button, then pushing the Up manual button and letting go. If there is any known problems, it should flash a number 1-9 with a minus in front of it. Let us know what you find. Good luck, i'm here in Florida without a/c at the moment either, and it stinks.
