Default Help!, Solar Load Sensor Short....

My Electronic Climate Control unit occasionally gives the wrong outside temperature. When it displays the wrong outside temp I get a code 08, or Solar Load Sensor Short from the unit. Where is this sensor located on a '91, and how hard is it to change?

Thanks,

it's on top of the dash, in the defrost vent. Little black bubble looking thing. I think 1990's were just a flat button, but they might have put the bubble on top in '91.

It's not hard to get out. lift the rectangle area that is holding it and pull it out. You can then pull the sensor out.

Gordon Killebrew suggested filling in the sensor with a magic marker if the a/c was acting up. Might try that before replacing it.

Thanks! I'll try the marker, if that doesn't work it sounds easy enough to change.
