Default Stainless steel or ceramic coated headers

92 LT1, stock. I am purchasing headers and am looking at ARH stainless with high flow cats and x pipe. For now, planning on using existing stock mufflers and changing to Corsa cat back down the road. What are the pro's and con's of stainless vs ceramic coated headers?

Stainless looks cool and will match your Corsa.

You want both. Coated stainless steel to keep underhood temps down

Don't need the coating though on the xpipe/ exhaust

Stainless will last a long time but ceramic will reduce heat a lot better. I would go with ceramic under the hood and then stainless the rest of the way out. With a glass hood getting rid of heat is a must do thing. Ceramic will lower the overall temperature of the engine and all the sensors, belts, a/c, hoses, alternator and computers will benefit from the cooler temp as well. Your choice, but things work a lot better and longer when they are cooler. A good set of ceramic headers (coated inside and out) will out last the rest of the car.
