I have a 160 Hypertech stat that I got with the power programmer a few years ago. The car is starting to run warmer than in the past, about 185 last week on interstat cruising at 73mph with air on in about 85-90 temperature. Anyhow it appears none of the local auto parts stores carry a 160 stat & via email Stant doesn't make one.
What thermostat are people using & where do you get it???
Another Powerstat here. If you are looking for a replacement, and live in Hinkley, take a drive up to Parma. There is a corvette shop on Brookpark Rd. called NXS performance. He sells the Powerstat for $14.. Some nice vettes there too!
I blew it out with an air hose last fall, there was only a small quantity of bugs , etc. I'll look & do it again to be sure. The only other thing that has changed is I am now running 4.10 gears, which might make it run a little warmer. It always ran in the 170's before on the highway. I never saw 180 on highway until last fall after the 4.10's went in.
Don't confuse LT1/LT4 style thermostats with non LT1/LT4 thermostats...seems like everyone does that...they are not interchangable, but you probably know this.
