I had a similar problem. Opti would lose the high res signal when it heated up and the ECM would kill the spark like the key was turned off. Mine threw codes 36 and 41. Hope this helps.
thANKS FOR THE INPUT, I AM PRETTY SURE IT IS FUEL RELated

I had the same problem with a 1990 corvette. Would not crank once it got hot. Checked the injectors and they checked OK, cold. Check them once the engine warmed up and one was totally dead. Replace the injectors and it is cranking and running fine.
I'm having the same problem with my 93. Just installed a new Petris Optispark and I was hoping that would solve the problem. It didn't. will check ICM and coil and injectors
I had a problem on my '93 and thought it was the opti and it was the ICM. I put in a new one in and a coil. I also installed a nylon washer to space the coil bracket from the head so it would not absorb as much heat from the engine, Not enough lubricant on the back of the ICM can cause the unit to go bad, thus making it work ok when cold but not when it gets hot.
Thanks so much, I was very much in need of some direction on this and will certainly check the ICM and Coil out. I know the coil looks like it has had better days and may even be original for all I know. Thanks Much!
