Long time member but it's been a while since I've posted. Been away from my vette for about 3 years since we had our little one. Got it out of storage and been driving it for a couple of weeks now. Noticed a power steering leak so descided to replace the hoses. Got the 3 hose kit from Ecklers in and got started. Everything was going good until I went to install the hose below.
Boy, I sure hope they don't give me a hard time about replacing this piece and getting it to me ASAP. Got the car all torn apart and need this to get it back together.
On a side note I also replaced the power antenea. Goes up great now but wont come down. Bummer of some luck this Friday night. No clue at all why that thing wont come down :-(
Here's a where's waldo game. Can you spot why I'm stuck? Hint, it's towards the bottom of the pic.....

Yeah that fitting is on backwards. Also, remove the motor for the antenna and send power and ground to it, then switch power and ground. If it works both ways, you know you either have a switch problem or wire problem. You'll have to pull the radio and test the wires to see if you get power and ground on the proper wires during the time that you're turning your radio on and off. You'll need to get your hands on a wiring diagram or trace the wire colors from the motor back to the radio. Can become confusing without a diagram though.

Yeah, I've got a service manual with a full wire diagram. That will be today's project. Thanks for the suggestion. Of to call Ecklers now. Hopefully they can help me out with this part and get one to me quick.
Figured it was worth a good laugh at least. Lesson learned though. Thoroughly inspect all parts before starting a project. I made sure they were the right hoses but didn't think to check the fittings.
Those are still available from GM. People would be surprised how many parts still are. They think cause they have a vette that parts need to come from a book.
