Danna 44 questions
I'm thinking about building a C4 to use as a nice street car but it will also see alot of time at the track. Right now Im building a Mustang but have a chance to sell the roller and would like to replace it with a c4. My question is,,How strong is the Danna rear? I know they are not great but how about in like a low 10 second car with an automatic with drag radials?
Is there any inexpensive upgrades? Has anybody tried to bolt in an 8.8 IRS from a 03/04 Cobra? I had one of them and the rear stood up to alot of abuse.

If you are running low 10's with a 44, you better have a garage full of spares. I race a lot and now have a straight axle. When my car was in the low 11's, I was blowing my 44 a couple of times a year. You could possibly run a couple of runs in the low 10's and get away with it, but I'm making 200 runs/year.
