Tach

would like to find out what anyone might think is wrong with my tach in my 91, at idle it idles at 800 or som but shows 1100. i checked the idle with a scanner, and it idles where the ecm wants it to, but tach is off about 300 rpms. any clues???????

You just answered your own question - there's a couple different ways to address the error. If the tach is "critical" you've no reason to be relying on the cluster tach anyway!

There's no easy/inexpensive correction - what is your tach error at 3K, 4K, 5K
