Nash 4+3 trans issues.
I have an 85 Coupe, 5.7 TPI, Nash 4+3. Slowly getting it back together. I posted a while back that the trans seems to be stuck in 2nd. Well, I finally crawled underneath and verified that the shift linkage isn't bound up. Re-aligned the shifter an then pulled the side cover to try and knock it out of 2nd if the 1-2 shift lever was broken but it's showing that it's in neutral since I can see all of the syncros and the 1-2 shift fork won't come out with the side cover...
I just did an overdrive service, drained the manual and refilled. No metal in either drained fluid.
Any insight/help is appreciated!

I have been underneath the car on and off all weekend. As I said, I've made sure that the shifter linkage is all aligned. I've pulled the side cover off of the manual portion of the trans, and I can see all of the syncros and clutches. So that would tell me that it's in neutral right? I'm trying to look for anything that is broken, but I can't see anything. The car is acting like it's stuck in gear, ie. letting the clutch out while its in "neutral", even with the linkage disconnected the car wants to move. I can't figure it out and it's driving me nuts. The engine is working wonderfully, but AGH...is there anything specifically that I should check before I pull the trans out of spite?
