Jack car up , see if wheel can be turned freely (unlikely )
Most likely the caliper is locked in the ON position.
Investigation needed
Caliper may need rebuilding (old age ) , may be a damaged flex line acting as a one way valve and not allowing the caliper to retract

The brake line may be clogged internally, keeping the brake pads "on".
The rubber brake lines are actually two lines, one inside the other. The internal line can clog without the line appearing to be bad.

Also sometimes my brike pedal will swoosh and go to the floor and still work if I press it hard. Also feels like im hitting the brakes on a warped rotor while driving, feels like I hit a bump every second repeatingly. Car drives much smoother when the brakes go to the floor board
