1987 corvette C4 coupe. While diagnosing a engine miss I saw a bit of oil in the galley between the center injectors on the passenger side of the engine. Initially thought it was fuel but has the consistency of oil. I can't see where it is coming from. All of my injectors tested at 16.8 ohms. There was no fuel in the oil pressure regulator hose. Does anyone know where the oil could be coming from? Even though the injectors seemed to test ok could they still leak? The car starts fine when cold but starts hard when warm...always accompanied by a strong smell of fuel. I don't have any codes. Previous owner had the car sit for a decent period of time. I had the throttle body and IAC cleaned when I got it. Plus a new fuel filter. Checking the FP tomorrow. Anyone have any answers or advice?
Car as 52000 miles and ran fine until this spring
Thanks in advance
Kevin

Thank for the reply. The bolts look hard to get to. Do you have to take the plenum of to get to them? If I can't get to them ill do when I replace my injectors.
The intake manifold bolt threads need to have sealant put on them or the oil will come up along the bolt and leak at the top.
Sounds like your CTS (Coolant Temperature Sensor) is bad or the wiring is shorted. It appears that the ECM thinks the engine is always cold so it's adding fuel. The CTS that the ECM uses is mounted on the front of the intake manifold under the throttle body.
