Anybody have "The Claw" intake system ???
Thinking about getting one. How do you like yours? Did you dyno more power after fitting it. Noise? How is it compared to the Vortex Rammer system??

You wont get much power from it over the K&N and open lid, similarly Vortex doesnt do much either. They do make a sucking sound. The only gain you may get is when you go over 100mph.

I got one because I like the looks.
The 299.3 dyno in the sig is stock with a K&N filter.
I have an appointment July 13 to dyno with the SLP Cold Air, Corsas, TB Bypass.

I didn't really notice much on a performance increase, but that's not why I bought it. I think it looks cool.

Ok, now I'm stumped, I have a claw on my 1990 TPI and I don't know what the hose on the drivers side is for. I just have mine blocked off.
Oh and by the way, I did notice a SOTP difference with the claw, but I also bumped my timing, did a full tune up and removed my frisbee :D

I have The Claw also. I bought it for looks and to allow a little better breathing. I still have the stock set up if I need it at resale.
It does seem to have a little more noise than the stock unit.

The early LT1's do not have the hose either. My 92 has a little air filter thing wedged down where the 7mm bolts are on radiator cover.
I'm sure they went to the tube because you have to remove the air pump to get the cover off. :rolleyes:
