New Tires, Steering Wheel Change
I put a new set of tires on my '95 coupe. The old ones wore well and looked fine when removed. The wheels were aligned, but not recently.
After install of the new ones, I noticed that the steering wheel is now a bit cocked to the right when running straight. There is no pull - I verified this on a very long straight today. Runs and steers fine.
Is this normal when changing tires? Should I spend my money on an alignment?
Thanks, Bob
Make sure your tire pressures and suspension are set and tight before aligning the vehicle. A good alignment technician would so this, but good luck finding one. There is a good reason I do my own, I don't trust no one.
