Default Unplugging MAF

What happens if you unplug your MAF and let the car idle in park?

Wondering what RPM does it idle at and is that RPM stable?

It should go into "fault" mode and run off pre-loaded fueling tables. Depending on the temperature/climate vs those tables, it SHOULD run fairly well. Not great...just OK.

FWIW, the car is drivable w/o the MAF too.

I had disconnected my MAF during a troubleshooting session and forgot to plug it back in. I drove the car to work the next day and couldn't tell it was unplugged.

Unplugging the MAF will NOT put the ECM into LIMP mode. It knows there is a problem and uses the TPS position to guess what the airflow is. It will set an error code.
