ECM Problem I Think
This is my first post. I've been reading posts on this website for a while thanks for the help.
Here is my problem. I have and 86 and have what I think is a failing ECM. When I turn the key to the run position with the engine off the ECM intermittently acts as if terminals A and B in the OBD 1 port have a jumper wire between them even though they do not. Trouble codes will flash through the CEL, the fans turns on, and solenoids around the engine compartment click on and off. The same thing happens while I am driving the car. When this happens the car also runs rough. When the ECM appears to be in the correct mode, not flashing 12 through the CEL, the car runs great.
I think the ECM is failing. Any thoughts?
