There is more to it than port size; here is an article for your reading pleasure on the AFR Eliminator Heads.

He can read all he wants but it would be a TOTAL waste of money to put comp ports under a long-tube intake. Even Mamo would tell you (as he told me) that the 180 cc head is the better choice for a longtube (5k rpm) setup. 195's won't really hurt you...as they can allow the use of smaller cams, still flow similar air, and generate torque with shorter valve events versus port speed. (Now you know why I have a slightly shorter duration cam with my 195's...which, btw, would still make for a nice torquey intake if I pop on an HSR...or even a FIRSt...or SuperRam.)

Anything spent on comp ports (beyond that) would be throwing money out the window.

Even if he considered another (short-runner) intake down the road, the 195 (w/o comp ports) is still be best choice. If he want's to build a high-rpm, big stroker, then it would be time to consider starting over with a clean sheet build.

With any luck, that TPI intake (of Eduardos) will have been extrude honed to flow more air.

I agree with Greg on that..... comp ports for a TPI motor is just spending money for little to no return.(You might find yourself with another 5 HP.... but even that might be a stretch in my opinion)

Now, get rid of that TPI and let the motor spin to 6000+ rpm.... and I would recommend it if you're et hunting for that last tenth.

5.- speedo gears, red, green 92 sensor for 3.07 (bought it, not installed)

engine

1.- Long tube headers installed
2.- no cats, doublé 2 1/4 exhaust to borla mufflers installed
3.- 3 wire heated 02sensor installed
4.- 1.6 rr self align installed
5.- stock 48mm throttlebody
6.- edelbrock ported base manifold AND slp siamese ported runners(bought it, not installed)

[/URL]
7.- lt4 springs (bought it, not installed), afr springs I supose are better option for 268 xfi cam
8.- 30 lb injectors (bought it, not installed), I red that 24 is enough but pcmforless suggested 30lb
9.- walbro 255 fuel pump (bought it, not installed)
10.- k&n,cutted airlid,adjustable fuel pressure regulator installed
11.- msd 6al installed
12.- moates apu1 for fine tuning installed
13.-pcmforless chip not boughted until buy cam (baseline)
14.- egr, frisbie,airpump deleted

brakes

15.- c5 front discs, calipers, zr1 booster, hawk racing pads, stainless hoses

I wanted 180cc afr heads and 268xfi cam

the Price between 180cc and 195cc is the same, I know that I will need to reduce combustión chambers.

what is your advice about the size of heads ?

I dont use this car as daily driver and I dont use it as drag car (maybe 3 times a year), I use it for fun and ocasionally trips

difference in torque and hp ?
bigger body throttle is needed ? 52mm I guess, not 58mm

edelbrock base is heavily ported to work with 195cc heads probably reach 5500 rpm with thsi intake

I dont have the camshaft then I can buy another model if is better for this setup

i have the car since new, only have 50,000 miles, the engine is running strong, I dont plan to stroke it to 383 then if leave 350cid the 180cc is better option ?, I red that 195cc Works great on 350 and you have opportunity to grow later but this is not my plan
If I was you, I'd sell or return the:

- 2200 rpm converter
- transgo shift kit (keep the cooler)
- Dual exhaust with Borla mufflers (keep the borlas if you can and put on your stock pipe)
- edelbrock ported base and SLP runners
- LT4 springs
- Walbro 255
- MSD6AL

With the money.... buy a 2800 rpm 10" converter, put on a stock pipe if you have it. Buy one of the following: Superram/Miniram/HSR/EFI SP/converter LT-1.... doesn't matter so much which one.... just pick one. Buy the AFR 195's, run your stock fuel pump and ignition. Find a few bucks for good drag radials. Cam it based upon the intake and heads you choose. Consider a Mike Jones cam... he always seems to find an extra 10-20 hp over the shelf grinds.

The set-up you were contemplating building is a 340-350 HP combination.... but why do that, when you can have a 400+ HP set-up for about the same money ? This can be the difference between a mid 12 second car and a mid to high 11 second car. Fairly dramatic difference.

Good luck with whatever you choose !

thanks for your answers

1.-2800rpm torque converter with 3.07 rear end ?
2.- transgo shifter kit, I already use this in other cars, and I like it
3.- exhaust ; i have headers to 1 central muffler 2 intake 2 exhaust (2 1/4) to 2 rear mufflers (sounds great and I believe the central muffler Works like a balancer
4.- msd 6al, I alraady have it; i supose thta no gave any imprvement but Works like a rev limiter
5.- I use nitto treadwear 100 tires, improves the handling and better grip
6.- I will try to found a superram intake
