Default Clutch slave cylinder question

My car is an 89. Long story short, I sold my zf a few years back and ended up purchasing another one. My old one was a black tag. The new one I purchased as a black tag but found out it has a blue tag on it. The guy said "it's definitely a black tag, it's just been repaired and they must have put a blue tag on it..." or something to the like.

I now need clutch slave cylinder and lines. What are the differences between the slave cylinders from 89-96? Which part should I buy? Does it matter if it's an 89 and not a black tag?

I just put a 96 on my 90, it is hard to get at the bleeder on the 96 because it is on top of the slave that was the only problem I encountered.

Other than you have to have a few extra swivels in your arm to get at the bleeder it works fine.

I used a 10 mm socket on a 1/4" drive to open and close the bleeder, it gravity bled very well because the bleeder was on top, not easy but done.

My understanding is the black tag is and original, and the blue tag means it was rebuilt

and you used which throw out bearing ? a black tag TOB will fit on a blue tag but has a larger I.D. than the correct blue tag TOB.

I was just under the car while on a hoist and it's indeed a black tag with a small blue tag affixed under it saying reman'd for GMC or whatever.

My mechanic is in process of hooking things up, so I don't know which TOB he has used at this point.

I ebay'd a clutch slave cylinder and hydraulic hose already, waiting on them for install now.
