Are they any identifying numbers, marking,or factors to verify a LT-4 intake manifold? I have one that looks like a LT-4 manifold because it is powdercoated red. You can tell that all the machining was done after the powdercoating. I've heard that the LT-4 manifold does not have an egr valve, this one does.
flip it over and there is a stamped LT4 on the underside at the rear of the intake. do a search and someone posted a picture of one about 3-4 weeks ago. hope this helps
I did some port work on my LT4 intake, under the sheetmetal plate on the bottom of the intake I found LT4 cast into the manifold in fairly large letters. Well, I had a ... porting accident and ended up ordering a replacement through a GM dealer. The replacement did not have the same LT4 cast in, in fact I could not find any LT4 marks. Made me pretty unsure if it was the right thing, but a comparision of the features seemed to indicate it was the right thing. Both the orginal and the replacement have the EGR passages in them, they just get blocked off.
I know I have seen it posted here before, but anyone have a specific list of what is different between the LT1 and LT4 intakes?
