With the arrival of summer I'm trying to find the best choice for blocking the sun coming through the roof. Mine had the scaly finish so I recently sanded the coating off and polished the plastic. While this looks great I think it may allow more sun through. For me I would rather have the solid roof panel.
I know Mid America and others sell the insert to completely block the sun out, but before I jump to a complete block I wonder if anyone has experience with applying normal window tint to the inside of the panel.
I was going to have mine tinted with a limo tint, but the guy at the shop said that the tint will absorb the heat and eventually the acrylic would shatter. A couple others on the forum have heard the same thing. Im going to just go with the inserts one of these days.:)
