Chris.
alrighty then....good thing i didnt jump the gun on new ones yet then...thanks to all that replied..il let ya know if i can replace them and have success.
Chris.
Watch this video a couple of times. It takes about 1/2 hour to change out. Suggest that you also replace the nylon gear....just because it is old. I would use the nylon gear and not the brass gear. The nylon will strip before the brass...there for the brass could destroy the motor. Motors are in the $300 range....nylon gears $30 range.
I marked the headlight position in the hood using masking tape at all four corners of the light assembly where the bracket is bolted to the hood. This made the positioning of the assembly when you install it in the hood much faster.

I have watched a couple of videos of how to repair the headlight motors and have noticed some differences. In one video, they removed worm gear to get the nylon gear out...I have not seen this to be necessary in some other videos. I have a 1995 coupe, does the worm gear have to be removed on this model just to get to the plastic gear and bushings?
If you have a 95, you don't have to remove the worm gear. Corvette Central sells a kit with bushings and gear. Suggest the nylon gear instead of the metal gear. Better to strip nylon gear teeth than destroy a $300++ drive motor.
