Default Missing module 4 from code retrieval

I'm a new member. I have a '95 lt1 "p" motor with a intermittent miss. After following the procedure to ground the proper lead in the OBD2 /but really OBD1 connector. the car displays the module 1 info as ---, then module 9 as ---, the module A as ---. try as I may there is no output from module 4. The car starts smoothly , runs fine , then as it warms up gets rough. Service lamp comes on, fans kick in and it smooths out , but misses slightly at cruising speed. Has a bad EGR and plugged PCV which helped a lot. Has anyone ever seen this module four thing? Even though I get the light there are never any codes retained. I suspect because no module 4. Thanks for any help.

Have you had it scanned with a proper scanner? I'm guessing - NOT! It's quite hard to believe that you can't access the module 4 using the 4 & 12 jumper in the ALDL.

Default lack of module 4

I have an obd Ii scanner. The car will not link to it because it is not a FULL obdii compliant set up. I really was politely looking for ideas , not rude treatment from some twit. Hate these foruns

WVZR-1 is one of the most knowledgeable (and helpful) folks on this site, hardly a 'twit' in your words. He's just asking for more info to help you, dude. Have you tried jumpering the #4 and #12 pins in the ADL without using a scan tool? Do you know the procedure? OBD2 scanners will not work in your vehicle, it is OBD1 with an OBD2 connector. 1996 was the first year of OBD2.

I see you're a new member...if you're gonna get butthurt this easy you may want to go to another forum where you'll get all kinds of lame-*** replies. These guys really want to help you...if you'll let them.
