84 C4 Back Spacing numbers ...
getting ready to purchase a new 18 or 19 set of after market Rims and tires
the Original turbine style 16x9.5,s are gone . this leaves me without stock rims to measure

running a set of 89 - 2 piece 9.5,s with 2" spacers .... all wrong of course
they all for sale cheap ... rims are tripple new chromies and scratch or dent free .. 275-40-17 tires are free
old and cracky would be an accurate description

That would duplicate the OE fitment but if you're doing custom wheels the offset/back-spacing could be flexed a bit for maybe a more aggressive appearance and fit to hood edge/quarter panel lip.

Basically the suspension changed drastically in 1988 and using later wheels on an earlier car requires adapters (NOT spacers).
Discount Tires told me they will not work on a car with wheel spacers. On the other hand, they have some pretty weird policies. I just had a tire repaired and they insisted that the hood had to be up, both doors open and the hatch open before they would jack up the car. They also torqued my wheels to 80 ft-lbs even though the FSM says 100 ft-lbs. When I called them on that they insisted that their computer was right. 80 ft-lbs was printed on the invoice.
