Can anyone suggest what to do to check into my problem.
I had a problem that started about 6 months ago and showed up by the speaker in the back right putting out a loud static sound and I would have to shut off the radio.
Now this is still happeneing but now the horn stopped working and the airbag light remains on in the dash.
OK, I'll take a stab. It sounds like you have three seperate problems.
For the speaker static, your capacitors in the fine Blose amp have probably gone. You can try to replace them yourself, https://www.corvetteforum.com/techti...D=58&TopicID=2 or you can get them bebuilt for about $100 each, or you can rip out the whole sucky system and replace with something excellent.
As for your horn, it could be the fuse, the horn itself or the switch. You will have to use some electrical diagnosic techniques to figure it out. A simple VOM meter from Radio Shack would be sufficent to test to see if the horn out.

Well... haven't checked the second fuse box yet but have now removed the right rear speaker and upon inspecting the AMP I found a transistor absolutely fried.....
