Ive always wanted a turbo vette, as i now have the vette part covered i just need the turbo. Can anybody tell me if a rebuilt L98 can take some boost? Not crazy psi, just enough to give it more punch when the torque drops off. My first other choice is a LS1 swap, but i would prefer what ive got for now. Any advice or info on the l98 would be great, also on the stock 6 speed power/torque limits.

Yes you can add boost but if you want to add more than say 10 psi and go for an atmosphere of boost you will need to drop compression and start with a forged steel crank, rods and forged pistons.
I have a supercharger and intercooler with 8 psi boost (had that on the standard engine for around six years) I now have a 383 with forged steel bottom end.
Callaway put twin turbos in C4's
The most famous the callaway sledgehammer 880 hp 250mph car built in 1988.
Thats a nice setup there, i knew about the sledgehammer and some other callaway vettes but i didnt know it was that high of a top speed. I was thinking about keeping the boost at 10 psi or below, using smaller turbo compressors to reduce boost lag. 10 or below i should be able to just get some more fuel going in and install the turbos? And the required guages and such. I just dont want L98 pieces on the road.
