Default Cruise Control broken

1994 Coupe with manual transmission
Changed my battery.
Now the cruise control does not work?

Assume just a coincidence; however, are there any electronic modules in that area which I could have disturbed that would impact the cruise control?

Otherwise, recommendations on where to start?

The last thing I want to do is tear into the steering column, so I am hoping there are simple solutions to check out first.

Thanks.

Check the vacuum lines going to the CC module. The lines are above the battery and could very easily have holes or cracks in them. No vacuum, no cruise.

Thanks.

I will try and get today between football games!

I am looking at FSM now and it has a nice diagram of the vacuum hoses and how they are routed.

ditto. A bad vacuum line had my cruise sidelined for a while.
