Default brake line replacement

I have to change out the rubber hoses on my '93. I get down to work only to find bubba has been here before. The fitting that screws into the rubber hose is completely rounded off. What see my options here outside of replacing hard line? This is the passenger front of car

Vice grips might work.

If the vise grips don't work, then you may have to replace that piece of hard line. There is a bend at the junction point that would probably prevent re-flaring it.

Vise grips got it done. I hope I don't have to do it again anytime soon. That is nerve racking having to do it that way.
