Default Turn Signal Flasher

Hi

I have an 89 all stock. The turn signals blink and function properly but blink very slow. Is there a turn signal flasher unit I could replace to try to fix this? If so where is it located? Any suggestions on what to replace with or just go to local autozone?

Thanks

First, make sure all lights function. If they do, then posts #2 & 3 in this link will help you replace the flasher canister:
(assuming the '88 is similar to the '89)

Thanks for the response. As usual part price not bad but a pain in the *** to do an otherwise simple job. I guess I'll braak out the FSM and see what it says also.

My recollection is that you can see it from the bottom if you take off the passenger side kick panel (a few 7mm screws). It's way up in there next to the DIC in the center cluster.
