valve is the EGR solenoid
pipes are for the CCV /PCV system
vac line with T looks like off the AIR system

Here are a couple of pieces of your puzzle. These are the vacuum lines for the A.I.R. solenoids/valves. The other end goes to the front vacuum source on the rear of the plenum:

The short metal tube with the kink in the middle is the air supply for the PCV system. (it says "CCV" in the vacuum diagram). It goes in the passenger side valve cover:

The metal tube with the loop in the center is the A.I.R. coupling from the driver's side exhaust manifold to the passenger side exhaust manifold. The loop bolts to the top of the water pump. You can see it under the cold start thermo switch and CTS (Coolant Temperature Sensor) in the front of the intake manifold in this pic (the loop is in the lower right corner):

The setup with the molded right angle stuff is the EGR solenoid and vacuum lines. It was moved to the thermostat housing in 1986 -- the YDJ diagram is for 1986. Earlier it was mounted on the rear of the plenum on the passenger side.

The aluminum tube connects the intake manifold to the PCV valve and also goes to the charcoal canister (at the bottom of the picture).

Hey the egr plugs come off the drivers side fuel injector loom by the way. They only fit one way. Along with the maf sensor plug and those cold start sensors. The thing you are looking at here is the heater controller and the and the cruise control control. The l thing(my L rubber thing was loose so I use a big to little vacume adapter , it goes to the last little port on pass side(left) in the manifold. the long hose on there goes to the other side to a t connector (I mounted it by the battery) 1 end of t goes to cruise control and the other goes to the ball mounted by the left light. I fixed my heater doors and cruise works perfect. Oh the other empty end of the vacume controller(4 dollars at orielys) goes to a heater control vacume hose(hard line style) that should be lingering down by the egr solenoid(pass side of distributor).
Good luck
The egr threads are by the left rear of pass side manifold,1 bolt hard to see.
Well why u r at it you may as well change the large cruise control vacume hose(it goes into the firewall to the pedal) clean the plug and cross your fingers.
To get that vacume hose thru the firewall you will need to lube it up alot.

Oops you may have made the same mistake as me. Nothing is on the back side it is a closed plastic. Looks like a connector! The 2 front hard lines go to the same as the pdf's to solenoid and air valves I think. Check it out. Trust me on the ball. The reason that line is so long I believe the vacume t I inserted mine near the cruise when originally the t was by the distributor.

Edit : Your egr sol has something at the back I have to go check mine out now. After further review I do not have an opening on the rear of the solenoid. I tried to stick a paper clip in. I read that an solenoid vent filter went to the back of 85 solenoid.
