Default 4L60/700R4 level check.

I checked the transmission fluid level today, cold, engine in park and running. The level was right at the bottom of the hot grid. Good , bad , does it really matter.
Had a small leak after sitting for months. I already replaced pan, new, and a real nice fiber super wammy dammy gasket recommended by many.

It's for those who don't want to wait for the tranny to heat up.

Mines in storage, otherwise i would drive it for a while. Transmission fluid in my Vette rarely gets above 170. But i guess sitting for two months may be he cause of leak above pan. The shifter linkage had some fluid on it too.
Transmission was rebuilt in 2009 and has maybe 1000 miles. Probuilt Automatics parts
