Default Throttle body gasket question?

My gasket kit came with two differnet gaskets for the TB. One is rubber and very thin and the other is some other type of material but is pretty thick. Do you use both gaskets or just one, and which one? Thanks

What do they look like as there are 3 gaskets used on a TB.

1 for the top plate.
1 for the IAC housing.
1 for the TB to Plenum.

To the plenum I only have one that is made of a gray paper-like material.

Sorry, both the parts I am talking about are for the TB to plenium. One is thin one is thick. I almost think the big one is pressed paper or something, It's deffentally not flexible. I used both and am thinking that that was a bad idea.

I'd suggest using the paper one. Definitely not both.

I always used the black one on my old L98. I doubt either one will make a difference as long as you don't use both.

If you have a stock TB the black one is a stock gasket.

Same here on my '95 LT1. Sort of like tough stiff fibrous cardboard material or something.

Just did my 88, the gasket was a grayish color and was almost like cardboard. replaced it with the same type gasket from the autoparts store. It was a felpro brand.

So the real answer must lie in what year the car is and what the original gasket you took off is like.
