Default MSD 8.5s question.

My quess is that the MSD 8.5 ignition wires will not fit into the stock wire looms. What did you guys do to keep the wiring in place? A picture would be worth a 1000 words if you did something special.

www.madeforyouproducts.com Since I don't have centerbolts I used one of the universal kits, and it works beautifully combined with wire ties.

You might want to ream out the stock looms a little with a dremel, so the wires are not as pinched and touching eachother. But the 4 wire square loom under the AC compressor needs a wire tie or two.

Hmmmm, I used the stock wire looms on my 94, granted, it took a pair of pliers to close them on the MSD's... Only on a couple of them (like under the alt) did I use a wire tie.

Thanks guys for your thoughts. I used the madeforyouproducts looms on my Firebird. They work great. I may try to use their looms with the factory brackets. I'll have to experiment. If I come up with something that works and looks good I'll post it.
